My name is Sarah Clay. I offer one to one counselling / psychotherapy to individual adults in the Sutton Coldfield area.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I adhere to their ethical framework.

The ethical framework is available to view at: www.bacp.co.uk

This is the BACP Definition of Counselling :

‘Counselling and psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners who work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their wellbeing.’

If you would like to explore the BACP website itself, please click here:

I work from my home (B73 postcode, off Monmouth Drive)  and there is street parking available. My counselling room is also accessible via a short walk from the bus routes that run along Chester Rd and also along Jockey Rd in Sutton Coldfield.

For many people it can be a big decision to have counselling or psychotherapy and by exploring my website, you have taken the first step.

Counselling and Psychotherapy can be helpful in exploring issues which have been troubling you on a short or long term basis. These may include:

  • Low self esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Loss
  • Relationship issues.
  • Childhood issues.
  • Loneliness
  • Abuse
  • Bullying
  • Issues arising from long term illness or disability.
  • Work related issues.
  • Miscarriage
  • Infertility

Counselling is not about giving advice, it is about exploring the issue together, to facilitate change or perhaps find a new direction. There is more information about me and the process of counselling on the other pages of this site.
